TICKETS: Will be available online soon for $5.00 for Friday night and $20 in advance. Saturday AT THE GATE price will be $25 for everyone (12 and under are free). MEMBERS tickets $15 are available in advance from board members or at the Delaware Store • 325 S. State St • on the Green in Dover for Saturday only $15! (All tickets, too, non-members & Friday night)
CAMPING for Friday & Saturday (gates open at 3pm Friday): $20 for rough tent sites & $50 for Vehicles with no hookups.
No potable water available on site BUT coolers are welcome. No PETS. No GLASS containers. There will be food vendors along with craft vendors. Kids activities & music on Saturday.

ReplyDeleteStart planning now to attend the Delmarva Folk Festival, Oct 3 and 4 at Clayton, Delaware. This year’s festival promises to be our best yet.
Now in its twenty third year, this outdoor music extravaganza is brought to you by the Delaware Friends of Folk, whose mission is to promote and preserve folk and roots music throughout the Delmarva Peninsula.
EVENTS: Here are some of the events that you can look forward to:
• Two days of concerts: Regional musicians providing a rich mix of traditional and contemporary music, that you are unlikely to hear in more conventional venues.
• Music workshops: Teaching tip and tools, licks and tricks, and an appreciation of music Americana.
• Crafts: Some of this region’s most gifted artisans, who create authentic crafts using traditional methods, and who are always eager to share their métier.
• Kids’ activities: For the young and young at heart, offering music, tie-dye, face painting, and more.
• Campfire jam sessions: For festival night owls. All are invited to participate—sing, play, or listen.
LINEUP: The festival staff is proud and excited to present an outstanding lineup of incredibly gifted musicians guaranteed to “wow” you. Here is our 2014 line-up:
1. Celtic Harvest: Dover, Delaware’s own Irish Band, featuring traditional Celtic music…and more.
2. Honey Badgers: A folk duet featuring guitar, violin, mandolin, banjo, and beautiful harmonies.
3. Sandcreek: An acoustic group playing original tunes with a unique country-bluegrass flavor.
4. Chapel Street: A 5-piece Americana band playing music ranging from bluegrass to classic rock.
5. ellen cherry: Emmy-nominee singer/songwriter playing Idie/Pop and the occasional sea chanty.
6. Cold Chocolate: A Boston band playing roots music with a dash of funk—and 4-part harmonies
7. Crabmeat Thompson: A self-described musician, raconteur, and bon vivant—and he’s funny!
8. The Kennedy’s: A New York-based duo performing sweet and soulful alternative folk-pop music
PLUS! The Delmarva Folk Hero Contest: You’ll see six finalists from earlier musical “play-offs” contend for the ultimate title of Delmarva’s 2014 “Folk Hero.” The winner will be decided by you--the audience.
LOCATION: 352 Downs Chapel Road, Clayton, Delaware. The festival grounds are located within the beautiful farmlands of central Delaware, amid a stunning backdrop of colorful autumn foliage.
